You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch…

In fact, I love Christmas but once the festivities are over, I’m ready to get my house back to normal. My goal is to get the decorations down by the time the trash comes in that first week. For us, that was yesterday and it feels good to start getting my house back to the way that doesn’t break my nerves.

The kids still have all their toys out, but they have till Tuesday to find everything a home. This is the day our cleaning lady comes and I can’t wait to start anew. For everything, with the new year coming up, it’s time to focus on the here and now. The holidays make me happy, but I know for me I can’t live in this place of indulgence for too long.

I need structure, get back to our regular eating and schedule programming. I love taking a break now and then but more than a couple days is enough for me.
