On the way home from dinner tonight, we had a 45 minute drive and I put Luci in charge of music.

She indulged the little kids with despicable me three songs before finding her songs. I had an idea of what she was going to choose but was shocked in a happy way when the music came on.

See, sometimes my 9 almost 10 year old loves to listen to the same music as me and it makes me realize how grown up she is AND then sometimes she surprises me by putting on The My Little Pony soundtrack.

This reminds me that even though I call her my little mama, there is still a little girl inside her. She is getting into that tween stage but is still in that kid mode as well.

It made me so happy tonight to see that her choice of music can still make me believe that she is still my baby.
