I am grateful for…my chiropractor.
When I began running back in 2013, I thought it would be an easy and quick workout.
Never did I think that injuries would come along with it. The first time I went to my chiropractor was after my first Half Marathon and I had hips and ankle issues. With months of therapy, I was pain free and ready to train for more races.
While training for the Chicago Marathon last year, I began having pain in my feet and calves. As I continued running, the pain worsen and I was unable to complete the entire Marathon.
Fast forward to a month after and I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. I worked with a chiropractor in North Carolina with ART and Graston’s. Then we got the news, we were moving back to Ohio. I was more than confident that my old chiropractor could get me back on my feet. And that he did. I’m not quite 100% and probably won’t be running any long distances run again but I no longer suffer on a daily basis.
I am grateful for this therapy table every time I walk into the office because I know it is getting me one step closer to a clean bill of foot health.
