Demo Day Is Not My Favorite

I definitely like the building part of refinishing our basement. The demo days are not my favorite. As much fun as it is to hit things and watch them come down, I’m more of a look what we built type person.

But the demo days are the ones that have to get done first in order to get to the fun stuff and I get it. There are lots of things we have to do in life that aren’t totally fun but are necessary for the end product.

Consistent action of small steps every day lead up to the end result. It might suck, hurt, be messy (in our case really messy), but it’s totally worth seeing all your hard work come together in the end.

We are no where near the decorating phase of the basement, but right now I can see where our bathroom with take place. That to me is pretty exciting. To see something built from literally nothing.

I never thought that I would be a remodeling type girl cause there are sometimes that my husband works on projects that I dread. But there is something about this one that makes me want to be an active participant.
