November 19, 2019
My oldest son reminded me today that his birthday is one week away. November has flown by and I can’t believe we are about to wrap it up so soon. With that in mind, we are dawning upon the season of giving.
The emails are coming in from family asking what the kids want this year. The kids always have these massive lists but the funny things is they don’t get most of what is on there and also they wouldn’t use many of the items past the first couple days of receiving them.
Each year, for myself, I want less and less and more to do with experiences. There might be a couple things I put on my list, but in all actuality, I want to go to Napa Valley with my sisters this summer and take my husband on a getaway for his 40th birthday coming up in March.
Looking around, I have everything I need and much more. I am always so grateful for everything I have and all I really want for Christmas this year is plane tickets and hotel rooms (and babysitters)!
How do you handle gifts with your kids during the holidays?
