A Little Rain (Party) Never Killed Nobody
October 6, 2019
Switching it up today. Had plans to take the kids to do some Fall activity but rain happened. Luckily, I hadn’t told them my plans because they would have been disappointed. It’s all good, Sundays are definitely our day of rest. School all week, then sports on Saturdays (some Sundays) and the rain was a blessing.
First of all, our grass needed the rain, but more importantly, it gave us another day of family card games and snuggling under the blankets. Yes, we can do that now because it’s finally under 70 degrees.
As much as I love pumpkin patches and heading out to do a corn maze, the introvert in me said, “find a book, brew up some golden milk, find a kid to cuddle with, and be content with that.”
Looking toward the week ahead, it’s another full one so when the couch calls your name, don’t ignore it, embrace it.
There is no reason to always be on the go, in fact, shutting off for awhile is so good for your soul.
How do you unwind?
