The Dawning of a New Era

So it begins! I’ve imagined this day for almost six years. What would it be like when all four of my kids are in school at the same time? My youngest is headed to his first real day of Kindergarten and I thought I would be sadder but I’m really excited for him.

The thing is, we do half day Kindergarten in our district so sending him off today is much like it was for preschool. In fact, his pre-K days were longer because he ate lunch at school. The transition to having all my kids in school will really hit me when first grade rolls around and he will be gone all day.

Today I get to be excited for him starting a new adventure and that makes me smile.

Nevertheless, it will be good for me to have three hours in the day to get things done around the house. I have a list of things I want to accomplish during the time he is gone. Maybe now that summer is over, I can start meal planning again.

Having dedicated quiet time to write is what makes me super excited for me.
