Every year for as long as I can remember we’ve gotten family pictures done. We get the matching outfits, found the perfect spot and had really great poses! I loved it and all I wanted was one picture worthy of the Christmas card!

This year somehow due to scheduling conflicts and life, we didn’t get professional pictures done. I actually begun stressing out about what I was going to do for our cards.

Then on a whim, with no thought, I had my sister take a quick picture of all of us at Jake’s birthday party.

After seeing how great the impromptu shot was, it got me thinking about other unnecessary stressors in my life.

I love giving cards but every year it gets down to the wire and I worry about getting them out, getting stamps and printing them all off. It’s something I do because I felt like I should send cards but I’m down with doing things that are best for our family!
