While I see ads for Christmas, lights already up on houses and pictures of friends’ tree decorated, I’m excited about Thanksgiving.

I mean, the name itself is about giving thanks for everything you have. Today we get to delve deep into gratitude and break bread with our loved ones (including ourselves).

Each year, we snuggled up on the couch to watch a little bit of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, then get to work on our feast. We don’t miss the dog show either or football in the afternoon. After, we eat and take a nap, it’s time to heat up pie and throw on a Christmas movie.

Today, my kids love relaxing at home where we can all be together and be thankful for what we have before us.
