Gifts from the heart are the things that bring me joy this season.

Today, we received our annual poinsettias from my parents. I love having fresh flowers in the house and these are ones even my black thumb can handle. It’s a simple gesture but one I look forward to each year.

I placed the sparkly flowers by our ceramic snowman I got as a present from my cousin when Luci was only a baby. It was one of our first family Christmas decorations and we all look forward to getting him out every year.

Both of these items found a home on the bench I received from my grandma when they moved from their home. This bench has moved from their home and stay with us through three different homes.

These three gifts are special to me in their own way and make the season great!
