Attending Sporting Events Is A Mini Vacation
November 9, 2019
Attending the kids sporting events without the rest of my children is like a mini vacation.
I get to be present with the child and really pay attention to their game. While I think it’s great for the family to cheer on their sibling, it becomes more about keeping them busy.
The majority of the game consists of me being a peace keeper, snack giver, and professional shusher.
In the end, I usually have no idea what has happened in the game or even who is winning. My attention is not focused on the child whose turn it is to have the spotlight.
What is your take on bringing the whole family to sporting events?
