When it comes to sports, I will watch games on tv and understand what is going on but I don’t have that sense of ownership.

With the Ohio State Buckeyes, it’s not a game but an experience. Graduating from OSU means football is life. Watching games, I stand there with bated breath hoping for a touchdown or first down!

Since Columbus doesn’t have a pro football team, people here are die hard fans! Mostly, it’s something that connects all us together. You can strike up a conversation with anyone wearing an OSU shirt. You say scream O-H anywhere and someone reply with I-O!

When we moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, I had an unspoken camaraderie with anyone with a scarlet and grey shirt on.

It made me feel like I was back at home. It’s funny now that we’ve moved back to Ohio because everyone is dress like me on Game Day! But that’s family!
